My name is Celestia (39), I am a registered Mindfulness based Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
My mission is to provide you with an authentic, safe space in therapy. This is why my empathy, compassion, insight and ability to understand the difficulties that you maybe experiencing, help create a place that allows you to feel comfortable, safe and truly understood. From this space I help you explore the causes and way forward through your current difficulties, break free of unhealthy thought processes – behaviour patterns -and belief systems, and create feelings of relief, healing, empowerment and peace.
What stands out about me is my first hand experience and understanding of the benefits of therapy for anxiety, childhood trauma, grief, emotional regulation and self development. My personal journey through, what included a difficult childhood, challenging family relationships, 16 years of marriage and 14 years of motherhood, is what inspired me to work in the emotional/spiritual & mental health space. So that along with my academic studies, professional training and therapeutic experience, has allowed me to have the insight, capability, psychological: neurological and biological understanding, empathy, passion and dedication to help others

Drawing upon a variety of therapeutic approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion focused therapy, Person centred psychotherapy, Existential psychotherapy, Gestalt psychotherapy, and Mindfulness based therapies.
